Ten goals for the year, and three goals in which they hope to have accomplished in five years. • Using the text-to-speech option on the e-book reader, such as Amazon’s Kindle, have the students’ stories be read to the class or in small groups. Have the students vote on voice and speed options.

  4. Amazon’s Kindle…..

  5. Lesson Plan Two: Health Education: Family Roles • Personalize a public domain E-book by downloading a word processor version of an e-book, and then changing the characters names in the book to those in which represent you and your family life. [dr.scavanaugh.org/ebooks]

  6. Family Roles by Personalizing a downloaded e-book: • Change the characters in the books to those that represent you and your family, the main character being you, and the others being your family. Make sure there are at least three characters in the story you choose for this assignment. • Write a page reflection on why each person you chose to take the characters place fits where they are.

  7. Lesson Plan Three:Health Education: Refusal Skills • Using an e-book writing program, write a play/skit and download it onto an e-book reader.

  8. Refusal Skills: Skit • Writ a play or skit with three other students, I’ll pair you up, regarding one of the following topics and how to refuse. Include three characters: • Alcohol • Marijuana • Getting in a car with some one drunk, or who has been drinking. • Other illegal substances

  9. How to… • Use the e-book program to write skit so it can be saved and the document can be saved to others e-book reader. • Choose two other skits to role play from the class collection, in addition to your own, which you will act out in front of the class for a grade.
