  2. Uploading Files to the Web • Sometimes you need to upload files, documents or images onto the web • You can do this using many different programs • Any program that allows us to work with FTP accounts

  3. Example: FileZilla • Filezilla is an example of a program where files can be uploaded for people to view on the web • I used to this program last year at Western and I found it very easy to use and helpful for submitting work to my teachers online

Step by Step • 1) In host box at top left enter address of the server or domain name • 2) Enter username and password (what you use to access your servers C panel) • 3) You can leave the port section Blank and then press quick Connect • 4) The directory listing should be successful on the top left of the screen!

Step by Step 2 • Right below that on the left bottom is what is on your personal computer • The right bottom of the screen is your Servers files • Click on your hard drive icon in the top left box, and scroll down to the file that you wish to upload • Right click and press upload, and it will appear in the domain name file section on the right side in the C panel
