    2. 2 Eprescribing Activities Related to SCRIPT usage May 2007 LTC industry participants request removal of exemption from eprescribing and use of SCRIPT version 10.1 Eprescribing participants discuss and build recommendation moving to a new version of SCRIPT on November 8, 2007 during NCPDP quarterly work group meetings November 16, 2007 CMS releases NPRM on eprescribing December 17, 2007 NCPDP submits recommendation letter to NCVHS

    3. 3 Recommendations Submitted NCVHS recommend to CMS the use of NCPDP SCRIPT version 10.5 with implementation date of January 2010 Ambulatory and LTC use Continue support of SCRIPT version 8.1 dual versions supported (8.1 and 10.5) Can co-exist Now supporting 5.0 and 8.1, but predominant use of 8.1 Sunset SCRIPT version 5.0 We are assuming that we are the “only game in town” as far as Sig standard goes – want recognition that this will be the only approved structure, whether in SCRIPT, HL7 or CCR.We are assuming that we are the “only game in town” as far as Sig standard goes – want recognition that this will be the only approved structure, whether in SCRIPT, HL7 or CCR.
