1. PBS Newshour Live YouTube Now - Will it Be a Success? A couple of days ago, I had been watching the PBS Newshour resides on YouTube. It is one of those channels that you either love or hate. It is a bit like the Food Network but also for information and current affairs. You have to pay for the service as it costs some cash for them to stream the news online in high definition quality. Still, it's worth your while. The first thing I thought when I saw the movie was that it has to be among those Thai fight videos. The Thai fighters are doing their version of the Wing Chun and Muay Thai struggle where they hit on their opponents to the ground and go for the submission. It seemed impressive for me and it seemed like something that the audience wouldn't forget. But, then I remembered that I'm not in the area of fighting, and maybe my tastes run a little bit to the tough side. So, I decided to check out the PBS Newshour's New York site to see what all the hubbub was about. Once I watched the movie, I immediately realized there were actually two distinct solutions that I could sign up for. The free service provided news videos live on your pc while the premium service offered more premium video programming live on your PC. They also had a news site that posted on their website and RSS feed to you TV feed that you did not miss any of their Newshour Newsworthy. In other words, both variations of the PBS Newshour Live YouTube today are extremely similar. As far as the news movie goes, they do have a news blog and you may opt to pay for the video in the News category or the Featured class. It wasn't very clear to me that class I would want to cover since they offer a wide variety. The same is true for the video portion of the service. I suppose it is entirely your decision. Nevertheless, it does seem that the paid support provides you with access to more news and other video programming than the free service. While the paid support costs quite a bit more than the free service, I am sure that it will pay off in the long run. As far as programming goes, both choices are fairly good. I think that the only difference between the two services is that the free service does not have quite the selection of video which the paid support does. That being said, they deliver news and other media in time and with high quality. Time will tell if service will become the king of the online television enterprise.
