  11. Rollovers are a continuing safety concern in PDO and Contractor operations. We had more then 100 rollovers in 3 years. These resulted in 2 dead, 6 LTI’s and an enormous cost in vehicle damage, hospital cost, lost man-hours, lost productivity, etc.

  12. To assist in reducing the number of roll-overs we are launching the “ROLLOVERS: it could happen to you” safety campaign. • Enclosed in this envelope are a number of products which we hope will be of use to you in executing the campaign.

  13. Safety Alert: “ROLLOVERS: it could happen to you”. • Stickers: “ROLLOVERS: it could happen to you”. • Posters: “Rollovers – Don’t let this happen to you”. • A video cassette containing two short films: • “Rollovers, it could happen to you”. Duration 8 min, English, some Arabic. This is a new video made specifically for this campaign. An Arabic and Hindi version will be made available in about 6 weeks. • “Flying Baby” Duration 4 min, English text with Arabic spoken word. Dummies without/with seatbelts in a car crash at 40 km/hr. • A VU-Graph Pack on diskette: “Rollovers it could happen to you”.

  14. You are requested to discuss the “Rollover” subject, with the use of the above products in, your HSE and Toolbox meetings. Please ensure the message is cascaded to all levels in your organisation. Showing this material at home or other environments is also encouraged. • Additional copies of any of these products can be ordered and collected from CSM/10 (E-mail or fax: 67-3145, Room: Green-069). • Any comments or suggestions on this campaign: please by E-mail to CSM/5(tony.agm.vanthiel@pdo.co.om).
