  7. Nepal… Nepal is located between India in the south, east and west and China in the north. The elevation is varied with the highest point being Mt. Everest (8848 m) in the north. It has an assortment of races and tribes, having varied culture and tradition. Farming is the main economic activity followed by manufacturing, trade and tourism. In Nepal, Hinduism and Buddhism are the two main religions. Cultural Immersion, Community Service, and Team Building in Nepal

Travel information: • Depart Beirut for an overnight flight and spend the next day at a quality hotel in Katmandu • Depart for Bhaktapur – a UNESCO heritage town with no traffic in or around the town center about three hours north of Kathmandu • Activity information: • Cultural treasure hunt in Bhaktapur • Community service at local schools • Adventure racing, hiking, and canyoning around the BhoteKoshiRiver • Tour group: • Borderlands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. • 15 Years of experience in Sri Lanka and Nepal • Team of experienced and professional leaders and trainers whose prime objective is the physical and emotional safety of the students • Costs: $2,300 USD (maximum estimate) Nepal

  13. Andre Bechara and Wissam Assouad of the ACS Outdoor Educational Program will lead students in a variety of activities and adventures on land and sea around Beirut and the Lebanese Mountains. Nature conservation, cultural awareness, and community service will be the guides on these day-trips and overnight adventures.
