Prisoner Art Competition The editorial board of A Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual (“the JLM”), a publication of the Columbia Human Rights Law Review, is pleased to announce a cover-art contest for its latest edition. The JLM is a nationally distributed handbook of legal rights and procedures, designed for use by prisoners. One illustration will be selected for the cover of the upcoming 8th Edition of the JLM to be published in the spring of 2007. Prizes Guidelines • The winner will receive two complimentary copies of the 8th Edition of the JLM featuring his/her original artwork! • Ten runners-up will each receive one copy of the 8th Edition of the JLM. • All prizes are subject to the rules of your particular institution. If prison policy prohibits you from receiving an individual prize, we will make every effort to honor your work in some other way, such as by making a donation to your prison’s library or inmate welfare fund. • Illustrations should be in black and white. • Design should relate to the contents of the JLM. • Submissions should be no larger than 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Deadline Will be Announced in Fall 2008!
