  2. Before We Begin… • We need to know what a sentence really is. A sentence is a group of words that expresses a complete thought. A sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with an end mark. Example: Ahmed dances with a hat. A complete sentence answers the question: Who did what?

  3. Before We Begin… • The subject is ( who). • Ahmed • The predicate is ( did what). • Dances with a hat

  4. Decide whether the following is a sentence or not • In the side of the room • Jane is doing her homework. • Plays football • Sat on the mat • Heba and Sarah like fish.
