  2. Keeping Your Food Record Key Tips: • Record everything you eat and drink each day for four days • Remember to include at least one weekend day in your recording • Record the time when food/beverages are consumed

  3. Keeping Your Food Record • Record the date at the top of each page • Be as detailed as you can when recording food/beverages consumed • It is important to record the amount of food/beverages consumed for each day • There are no right or wrong answers and you will not be judged on your answers

  4. How to record the amount of food/beverages consumed

  5. 1 light bulb = ½ cup ½ cup of rice and mashed potatoes

  6. 1 medium baked potato ½ cup carrots 1 deck of cards = 3 oz 3oz of meat

  7. 1 medium piece of fruit ½ cup fruit ½ cup of cut up fruit or 1 medium piece of whole fruit 1 handful is ½ cup

  8. 1 egg = ¼ cup ¼ cup

  9. 1 fist = ¾ cup ¾ cup of cereal

  10. Two thumbs = 11/2 oz 1 dice = 1 tsp

  11. 1 tablespoon 1 teaspoon

  12. 1 cup

  13. Mixed Foods

  14. Remember to record snacks
