Book launch and signing to take place at Hartford Public Library on June 27 HARTFORD, Conn.—June 27, 2022—Author Wanda Price today announced that her book launch event for “Ilivid” will take place at the Hartford Public Library on June 27. “Ilivid” is a powerful book is based on Price’s life experience, lesson learned and hope for the future, The author had a traumatic childhood, trying to take cues from her “hustler” father. She grew up not believing that she could fulfill her personal, childhood dreams and ended up on the wrong side of the law, and stuck in the criminal justice system, as her father had. “It is common for ‘the apple to fall not far from the tree,”” said Price. “Not only did I recreate my father’s bad habits and choices, but also my actions informed those of my children and the family patterns resulted in not having a profession, a career or life direction, living life on the streets with danger and no hope.” Price understands that her parents were neglectful, not recognizing her inquisitive nature and natural intelligence, but they themselves did not get what they needed from their own parents. She explained, “I had a revelation and put my energy into transformative change. With that came understanding that Thad walk away from everything toxic and situations that held me back.” Her story shows how life situations can lead one to finding empowerment and the energy to rise up and out of paralyzing, dangerous habits.
