  1. Operations Center Tools: Dual-Doppler Radar Analysis • Approaches/associated tools fall in three broad categories: • Quick-look applications • SOLO/P3tv - Review of raw single-Doppler data in native polar coordinates • Auto-editing software - Rudimentary unfolding/ clutter removal (Bousquet & Smull 2003 JAM) • NCAR REORDER/CEDRIC - Classical single-AC (dual-Doppler) gridded solution suitable for U,V • NSSL FAST_Interp/Windsyn - Extension to digest simultaneous scans by multiple AC platforms (e.g., “quad-Doppler” solutions)

  2. Operations Center Tools: Dual-Doppler Analysis (cont.) • ELDORA-specific and Advanced Synthesis Methods • NCAR/ATD quality-control procedures (approach, products, realistic turn-around times) • Variationally-constrained solutions (e.g. HRD/ Gamache “3D Analysis”; Bousquet/Chong “MUSCAT”) provide U,V,w enveloping flight track • In-flight Composite Reflectivity/Wind products (maps + vertical sections) via NOAA/HRD Workstation • Presumably deployed aboard lead NOAA P-3 • Real-time guidance to airborne flight scientists • Potential telemetry to RAINEX Ops Center if satcom bandwidth is sufficient
