  3. OBJETIVO • TSW define and apply all 4 sets of TPR phrases and create negative sentences using phrases learned

AGENDA • Topic: Como estas – emociones & ALL 4 sets of TPR words • Cinco Minutos: Recognize the cognates – matching questions • Teacher Instruction: PPT presentation reviewing vocabulary – dictionary, gesture and pronunciation • Guided Practice: Word strips using NEGATIVE sentence structures/ skit – act out mini-stories created • Closure (5-10 minutes) : Q&A / Go over sample question from the homework assignment

  6. Frases negativas • When writing sentences in the negative, simply place the word NO in front of the verb • Step 1: locate the VERB • Step 2: SLAP a NO! before the verb

CREATE A MINI STORY: let’s WRITE! • Get in groups of 4 • First identify ALL of the words • Then, identify all of the VERBS • Use the wordstrips to help you create a short story • Modify AS NEEDED (ex.: add –an at the end of verbs to say ‘they’ do something: ellos caminan) • It’s okay to be whacky! Your story should be FUNNY! • TRY to use most, if not ALL, of the vocabulario learned so far… • Get ready to ACT it out to the class – each person should play a part in the short story¡

  10. TAREA DE CASA / HOME LEARNING • Make sure you have notecards made for EACH vocabulario word we have studied so far in TPR (20 total) • Complete the homework assignment (handout) to practice writing negative sentences
