  1. 3 Possible Ways to Immigrate to Canada By Russ Weninger Calgary Immigration Lawyer

  2. Canada is a large, attractive country. It’s also a safe place to live in as it is governed by the rule of law. Even during a period of economic recession, the Canadian standard of living tends to remain strong.

  3. The country also has one of the best healthcare systems in the world. With all these perks, it’s no wonder a lot of people are applying for a Canadian citizenship.

  4. If you are looking for a way to get to Canada, here are three of the most reliable options: • Express Entry • Provincial Nominee Program • Spousal or Common-law Partner Sponsorship

  5. Express Entry The Express Entry system first requires applicants to complete an online profile that assigns them points. To create an online profile, applicants must have results from a valid English or French proficiency exam as well as recognized educational credential assessments for education completed outside of Canada.

  6. Provincial Nominee Programs If you are currently living in, or have strong connections to a particular province, you should likely only consider the provincial nominee options of that province. PNP applicants must first apply for nomination through a province’s PNP stream. Once nominated, applicants can then apply to CIC for permanent residence.

  7. Spousal or Common-law Partner Sponsorship In the vast majority of cases, the only sponsorship options available are for those who are married to, or living common-law with, Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
