  2. Why do you think new technology crimes are growing rapidly. Discuss with examples? An increasing number of criminals and criminally minded enterprises have hired, purchased, or otherwise acquired the ability to infiltrate systems with new penetration techniques while developing a criminal e-business network. Concurrently, an increasing number of hackers have turned professional. Some who once attacked IT systems for the intellectual challenge and to match wits with (or to aggravate) others in their field have discovered strong financial rewards in online crime.

  3. Give me an example of a cyber crime and how it works? • hacking • viruses • punishing • malware • spyware • fake websites • spam • credit card fraud

  4. Explain how people are affected by cyber crimes? • loss of money- financial issues • compromised security- personal data being stolen • invasion of privacy • usernames and password being stolen • spam/junk mail • unable to access website • slowed down Internet access • identity theft

Explain the control measures which can be taken to reduce cyber crime. • firewalls • anti-virus- updated regularly • different password for everything • spyware software • encryption of information online • check website before entering personal data • don't reply to any spam • always question yourself- why is the information needed
