American Literature - 112 • Challenging survey course which will prepare your student for college • Chronologically organized – Colonial, Revolutionary, and Romantic periods of American literature • The Crucible by Arthur Miller (in our textbook – may want an additional copy for ease of use if desired) • Nonfiction selections, poetry, autobiography, drama

  4. American Literature - 112 • The Crucible by Arthur Miller(in our textbook) • The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass (an autobiography) • The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail by Robert Edwin Lee an Jerome Lawrence

  5. Vocabulary studies • Every other week a unit quiz (20 words) • New vocab. books this year - $11 • Technology feature allows students to download words to their technology device (I phone, I touch, I pad, etc.)

  6. Communication is vital • Email me at Sheryl.Davis@cobbk12.org • Office hours for your student every Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon • Parent conferences available upon request through the guidance department
