  1. Indonesian In indonesia, the language is called “bahasaindonesia” (the language of indonesia).The word bahasa (language) is written in small letters as it is not part of the name of the language. It is hence wrong to refer to the language as “bahasaindonesian”, or, even worse, “bahasa”.

  2. About Us «Indonesian Online» was founded by Dr. Ulrich (Uli) Kozok, Professor of Indonesian at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. Most Indonesian language learning materials on this site were developed by Prof. Dr. Kozok, and his team consisting of native speakers of Indonesian and who are also experienced bahasa Indonesia instructors. Dr Kozok studied at the universities of Hamburg, Leiden, and North Sumatra. In 1989, he became a lecturer at IKIP Medan (now Medan State University), and in 1994 he started his career as an Indonesian language instructor at the School of Asian Studies at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
