  2. You may have already chosen the type of tires that are best suited to your driving style and conditions, but now you have to choose which brand makes the best car tires Chester, NY for your car. Don’t simply think any “car tires for sale” will work, it’s important to know the difference between tire manufacturers, and what benefits that can provide to your vehicle’s performance. We’ve provided a list of our top 10 best car tires for 2021.

  3. 1. Michelin: Starting business in 1889, Michelin is a true OG in the tire manufacturing world. As one of the most popular tire brands around the globe, Michelin seems to tick all of the boxes in almost every category, from everyday all-season to high performance tires. Offering up to six years limited warranty, Michelin is above the industry standard, demonstrating confidence in their product, while guaranteeing a decent lifespan. The only downside to Michelin is their cost, which is among the most expensive on this list.

  4. 2. Goodyear: Another top dog in the tire game is Goodyear. Founded in Ohio, in 1898, Goodyear boosts a wide array of tires to accommodate everything from everyday commuter and off-road vehicles to F1 open-wheel and supercars. World renowned for their durability, Goodyear also offers up to six years limited warranty, and performs rigorous in-house testing to ensure they are the one of the most reliable tires out there. They’ve also been known to outperform other manufacturers in winter tire testing, showing stellar handling and braking in rain, ice, snow and dry roads. Similar to Michelin, the downside to these tires is the cost, where Goodyear ranks in the top 5 most expensive.

  5. 3. Pirelli: When you think of Pirelli, you tend to think of luxury exotic cars like Lamborghini and Ferrari. Their unique tread enables them to specialize in ultra high performance sports cars, with impeccable grip on the road in both wet and dry conditions. As you’d expect, this type of tire comes with a price tag to match, making Pirelli among the most expensive tire brands on the market.

  6. 4. Bridgestone: After merging with Firestone in 1988, Japanese tire manufacturer Bridgestone became the largest tire manufacturer in the world. They provide an enormous range of tire models, and have specialized lines in ultra high performance as well as standard passenger vehicles. They’re known for offering the best run-flat tire, which can support the weight of the vehicle for around 100 miles. This makes them ideal for cars with no space for a spare tire, and will enable the driver to safely get to a repair shop if they get a puncture.

  7. 5. Cooper: Originating from the same town as Goodyear, just 16 years later, Cooper is one of the most affordable tire brands available, but that doesn’t mean it lacks in quality. With a shorter range of tires available, Cooper is less focused on high performance tires, and tends to accommodate the more everyday all-terrain, mud-terrain vehicles. It’s also one of the only tire manufacturers to cater to vintage muscle cars.

  8. 6. BFGoodrich: As the oldest tire brand on this list, BFGoodrich has mastered the art of tire manufacture since it was founded in 1870. It was acquired by Michelin in 1990, but still has a considerable presence worldwide. Although BFGoodrich only has a small product range, they cover all bases within this range, from ultra high performance to vintage muscle and everything in between. They are also among the most affordable top tire brands available.

  9. 7. Continental: A year older than BFGoodrich is German tire brand, Continental, a huge multinational company, with many other subsidiary brands such as General Tire. Making tires is just one part of what Continental do, but that doesn’t make them any less passionate about it. They specialize in mainstream automotive tire production, focusing less on all/mud-terrain tires. Price-wise Continental rank themselves in the top half of the list, and as a premium tire, you can expect to get your money’s worth.

  10. 8. Yokohama: Another all-rounder is the Japanese tire manufacturer Yokohama. Although they’ve been around for over 100 years, they’ve only been widely available in the US for the last 50. They boast a wide range of performance based tires, and are reasonably priced for the quality you receive.

  11. 9. General: Yet another manufacturer from the rubber capital of the world, Akron, Ohio. General Tire was founded just a year after Cooper, in 1915. In 1987 General was sold to Continental AG, but still operates under its original name to this day. They have the least amount of tire models of any on this list, specializing in truck and SUV tires, and providing only a very limited performance tire range.

  12. 10. Hankook: As the youngest tire brand on our list, that has only really been selling tires in the US since the 90’s, you may not have even heard of Hankook. This South Korean tire brand has a moderate line of various types of tire, at an affordable price. They may not stand out in any particular area, but they’re certainly up-and-coming, considering the variety of tire models they have released in such a short amount of time.

  13. When you’re next looking at car tires for sale Goshen, NY, remember that the brand you choose is just as important as the type of tire. To ensure you are getting the best car tires for your car, speak to a professional, to find a tire brand that fits your budget and requirements.
