  2. Chronicles • Chronicles: A historical account of events of a particular time • Have you ever heard of the Chronicles of Narnia well that is exactly what a chronicle is chronicles can be fictional or non-fictional.

  3. Temp • Now these are words with the base temp. • The word temp is associated with time, in Latin. • The word temp is a abbreviation for temporary and the word tempore (it’s in Latin) meaning “in time of”.

  4. Temporary • The word temporary means for something to last for a only short period of time. (noun) • Example in sentence: We need to temporary replace this part.

  5. Extemporaneous • The word Extemporaneous means to do something when you are unprepared for it. (adjective) • Example in sentence: Riley was extemporaneous for the test in RLA, so he got zero out of twenty.

  6. Contemporary • The word contemporary means to be living, existing, or occurring at the same time period. It could also mean the present day. (Noun/adjective) • Example in a sentence: Bob and Bobby were contemporary.

  7. Tempo • The word tempo means the speed of a particular piece of music. (Noun) • Example in sentence: The tempo of the music was to fast.

  8. Tempest • The word tempest means a violent storm or something that was disturbed violently. (Noun/Verb) • Example in sentence: The tempest ravaged the lands. • Example of a tempest: whirlwind, hail, heavy rain, or snow.
