  4. Reasons of the Battle • After the Confederacy won the Battle of the First Bull Run, General Robert E. Lee decided to march northward towards Maryland and the Union needed a victory!

  5. What Happened The Battle lasted at least 2 weeks at Antietam. Most of the battle of Antietam took place in cornfield.
