  2. The government says many Amoy Gardens residents fled their homes after the outbreak, and went to live with family and friends, spreading the disease.

  3. But the government is not ruling out the possibility that cockroaches or tainted water carried the virus to neighboring buildings

  4. Hong Kong does not expect to be able to contain the virus since they do not understand it

  5. SARS has infected over 2,600 people in at least 15 countries and killed 100

  6. Many believe that the SARS virus is beign covered up in China

  7. The WHO (World Health Organization) wants to investigate further into the SARS virus in Asia

  8. Many Asian Countries have begun taking measures to prevent the spread of SARS into their countries

  9. A Man in Thailand was actually flown home alone after it was feared that he was infected with SARS

  10. Thailand hasn’t been hit hard by the SARS virus, but they have imposed a few “ridiculous” rules concerning visitors from other countries that have had SARS problems

  11. One of these laws states that these “high-risk” tourists must wear masks that cover their mouths at all times, or face a 6 month imprisonment and a monetary fine

  12. The country of Malaysia has stopped issuing visitor visas to Chinese nationals, in an effort to prevent the spread of SARS

  13. The Philippines has urged its citizens to not travel to Hong Kong
