  1. Student Name Course Name Course ID Q 1. Ans. : Naresh Pal : Web Master : AD/RH/WM/05-15/07 What are shapes? Shapes are the portion of space defined by the its parameters. Shapes can be defined by the colour or by the combination of line and there edges. in other words we can say : Every Shape starts with line. Every shape has starting and ending points Every shape has its dimensional parameters Basically there are three types of shapes 1.Geometrical : Geometric shapes are most recognised shapes by human mind. Every geometric shapes can be defined by its name like Square, Circle, Over, Triangle, Rectangle, Cube, Cone, Pyramid etc.Examples are shown below : 2.Organic : Organic shapes are irregular in dimension, or we can say these every shapes are unique. Its not bound to dimensions or fixed area due to its generated by by nature. After that the organic shape has complete strength to express its value and appearance. There are tend be pleased and comforting. Example are shown below :

  2. 3.Abstract : Abstract shape are combination of geometric and organic shapes. It recognizable but not real. Normally we use Abstract shapes to convey our message to others. Each shape communicating its meaning and message. Q 2. Ans. Why shapes are so important for good designing? Like other elements of design as colour, texture, typography, the shapes are play vital role in good design. Not only is colour important aesthetically, but shape is too. Complicated shapes will make it difficult for potential customers and clients to see the drawing and understand the message. Shapes as an element of design usually add interest to a piece of art whether in a document or an image. Generally shapes are illustrated by boundaries, such as color or line, and are frequently used to emphasize particular part of the page. Now let’s see how shapes help the designers or graphic artist to create creative layouts or images. Shapes help the designers to separate & connect information in a visually appealing and organized manner Shapes help the graphic designers in representing different ideas It adds texture, rhythm, depth and movement to our designs Help in expressing different points and areas of interest Help in distinguishing different elements of design.      Q 3. How many types of shapes are there? Please explain with examples. Ans: Basically there are three types of shapes 1.Geometrical : Geometric shapes are most recognised shapes by human mind. Each shape communicating its meaning and message. Q4. What is a circle expresses and how it is useful to designer. Ans: Circles have no beginning or end. They represent the eternal whole and in every culture are an archetypical form representing the sun, the earth, the moon, the universe, and other celestial objects between. Circles are used to suggest familiar objects such as wheels, balls, many kinds of fruit. They suggested well-roundedness and completeness. Circles have free movement. They can roll. Shading and lines can enhance this sense of movement in circles. Circles are graceful and their curves are seen as feminine. They are warm, comforting and give a sense of sensuality and love. Their movement suggests energy and power. Their completeness suggests the infinite, unity, and harmony.

  4. Circles protect, they endure, they restrict. They confine what’s within and keep things out. They offer safety and connection. Circles suggests community, integrity, and perfection. Because they are less common in design they work well to attract attention, provide emphasis, and set things apart. Q 5. Can you name out 10 brands name using triangles? Ans: Q6. What are the difference between circle and triangle in designing? Ans: Circle Triangle Triangle are use to suggest Straight, Up & Down, Growths They represent dynamic tension, action, and aggression. Triangles can be stable when sitting on their base or unstable when not Their dynamic nature make them better suited to a growing high tech company than a stable financial institution when designing a logo Circles are used to suggest familiar objects such as wheels, balls, many kinds of fruit. Circles have no beginning or end They represent the eternal whole and in every culture are an archetypical form representing the sun, the earth, the moon, the universe, and other celestial objects between. They are warm, comforting and give a sense of sensuality and love.
