  2. Introduction Mechanical ventilators have become a symbol of the COVID-19 pandemic, representing the last best hope to survive for people who can no longer draw a life-sustaining breath. But the ventilator also marks a crisis point in a patient's COVID-19 course and questions are now being raised as to whether the machines can cause harm, too. Ventilator is a machine that provides mechanical ventilation by moving breathable air into and out of the lungs, to deliver breaths to a patient who is physically unable to breathe, or breathing insufficiently. Ventilator measure various parameters like breathing speed, volume of air, quality of air, ECG, temperature, personal details of patient. The functions of ventilator can also be controlled by remote mobile devices like mobile phone, laptop, tablet having application and software interfaced with ventilator, but the components used in IoT based ventilators rather than ordinary ventilators are communication module, sensors, cloud storage medium, etc. The main purpose of IoT in ventilators is to monitor and treat patients more effectively by getting fast and more precise patient data. At IntellectPeritus, we have collected around 50 patent publications and around 25 products of IoT Based Smart Ventilator as sample report and have tried to put value added technology categories to generate specific insights quickly using our deliverable InnovigenceCorona®.
