  2. The Journey of Jeans Jeans/denims have a long history. They started as workwear for miners, cowboys, and were then made popular by celebrities like Madonna. Jeans quickly became a popular choice for 1950 rockers and pinups. Levi Stauss & Co was the company that made the first pair of blue jeans. It was headed by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss. This is also why we can achieve so many different looks, including wear lines, creases and acid washes. You can also achieve distressed looks easily. Over time, fashion trends and attitudes change the look of blue jeans. All the original jeans featured buttons in their fly and are still used with metallic zipper styles. www.inviya.com

  3. The introduction of a new type of synthetic fibers an ingredient in the late 1970s led to a new category of stretch jeans. This slimmed down the form and fit of baggy jeans. Designer denim fabric jeans were born as a result. You can identify which year a photo is from by simply looking at the style of jeans. www.inviya.com

The 1950s Jeans were a mainstream fashion item. The youth of America quickly embraced denim jeans with a thick cuff at their ankles. John Wayne and Elvis Presley were cultural icons who reinforced this trend. www.inviya.com

  7. The Journey of Jeans The 1960s Americans started wearing bright colors, loud patterns and flared jeans. These are the same trends that we associate with hippies. The counterculture movement gave birth to the flower power movement towards the end of the decade. On jeans and denim jackets, flowers began to be embossed. The 1970s Bell bottom jeans were dominant in the United States by the 1970s, thanks to the flower power movement of the 1960s, the introduction of glam rock, and the popular television shows of that time. www.inviya.com

  8. The Journey of Jeans The 1980s Denim went through another major transformation over the next ten years. The public began to eagerly switch their beloved Bell bottom jeans in the 1980s for the high-waisted, acid-washed, and tightly-painted style. The 1990s Fashion was heavily affected by the popularity of Grunge, a subculture that was mainly perpetrated by punk rock groups. This decade saw denim reach its greatest popularity. The masses were spotted wearing mom jeans, denim jackets with oversized pockets, and denim overalls. www.inviya.com

The wearable skinny jeans were born in this decade. The casual jeans trend has been embraced by people all over the globe, with a range of cuts and washes.
