  40. Background • The data presented by ATP is designed to be used by a PS Consultant in the context of delivering the Infrastructure Consulting Service • The successful consumer of this information has, at a minimum, a good understanding of NetApp Core Technologies and Best Practices • Refer to the Infrastructure Consulting Service TechNet Page for training on how to edit these outputs for the NetApp ICS service • This section covers the edits necessary to use the data outside of the ICS context NetApp Confidential - Internal Use Only

They are samples only. NetApp Confidential - Internal Use Only

  44. Infrastructure Summary Tab • Charts on this tab are automatically completed as you complete other sections of the workbook • Charts that are completed this way include: • Storage Controller Performance by Category • Overall Business Risk in Percentage • Controllers capable of upgrading to OnTap 8.0 • You can improve the appearance of the Breakdown by Disk, Shelf and Module Size and Type charts by hiding columns with 0 values in them on the Business Analytics tab NetApp Confidential - Internal Use Only

  47. Business Analytics Tab • The charts displayed on the Infrastructure Summary Tab come from this tab • To improve the appearance of the Hardware by Type Charts • Select all cells on the Business Analytics Tab • Change the font color to “automatic” • Review columns F through AV and hide any columns with 0 counts for disk, shelf or modules by type • Hide this tab when you are done editing the workbook NetApp Confidential - Internal Use Only

  49. ICS CMPG File Contents Overview • All CMPG outputs produced by the tool trend data for the time period selected via the ATP UI (typically 26 weeks) • These files provide visualization, not analysis, of performance and utilization counters • The majority of this information is useful to performance consultants only • The storage trend data can be used by most consultants to review past and predict future storage utilization • Gaps in data are most often caused by missing performance counter files NetApp Confidential - Internal Use Only
