Biography • When Adams was twelve he taught himself to play the piano and read music • He soon gave up piano for photography • The sierra club was vital to Adams success in photography • His first published photographs and writings appeared in the clubs 1922 bulletin • His first one man exhibition in 1928 at the clubs San Francisco headquarters
