  2. Das past simplebeschreibt eine abgeschlossene Handlung, die in der Vergangenheit stattgefunden hat. Sehr oft steht dabei auch eine Zeitangabe. - Yesterday I left school at eleven. - The Beatles made a lot of records in the 60ies. - I went to Manchester last summer. Can you give another example?

  3. Das presentperfectbeschreibt eine Handlung, die zum Zeitpunkt der Gegenwart abgeschlossen ist, jedoch für die Gegenwart (oder auch die Zukunft) eine wichtige Rolle spielt.

  4. PresentPerfect • …für Handlungen, die in der Vergangenheit begonnen haben und bis zum Zeitpunkt des Sprechens angedauert haben: - It has rained all morning (till now). - He has waited at the station (till now). - We have read in the classroom (till now). ► Find two more examples!

  5. PresentPerfect • …für Handlungen, bei denen der Zeitpunkt keine Rolle spielt: - Have you been to the shopping mall? - Has she ever read “crime and punishment”? - Haven’t they done their homework? ► Find two more examples!

  6. PresentPerfect • ...für Handlungen, die eine (wichtige und erkennbare) Wirkung für die Gegenwart haben: - We have moved the tables out of the classroom. - They have eaten all their sandwiches. - Jim, what have you done? You’ve broken the eggs! ► Find two more examples!

  7. PresentPerfect • ...für Handlungen, die soeben (“just”) passiert sind: - The train has (just) arrived. - The milkman has brought the bottles (right now). - The match has just started. ► Find two more examples!

  8. What‘sthetense? 1 Where is my key? I (to lose) it. Where’s my key? I have lost it… … and I can’t use it anymore!

  9. What‘sthetense? 2 Tell me, you (to go) to Spain last summer? Tell me, did you go to Spain last summer?

  10. What‘sthetense? 3 What you (to do) last night? I was at home last night.

  11. What‘sthetense? 4 I (to live) there when I was young. I livedthere when I was young.
