  2. Beethoven was born on Born December 16, 1770 in Bonn, Germany. • Ludwig was baptized: December 17, 1770 • Died: March 26, 1827 • Beethoven was the oldest of 3 boys, originally had 6 siblings.

  3. Beethoven's father was a musician at the House of Bonn. But his father was an alcoholic. • Ludwig felt responsible for his siblings because of his fathers poor influence on the other children. • His mother was very kind and tender hearted. Beethoven's mother was his best friend.

  4. Beethoven wrote 138 pieces total in his life. • His two most famous symphonies are his 5th and 9th symphonies. • Moonlight Sonata was one of Beethoven’s most recognizable pieces of music ever.

  5. Ludwig never married. He fell in love with one of his pupils, Countess Giulietta Guicciardi. He dedicated Moonlight Sonata to her. • He was to be married to her but her parents forbid the marriage. • Beethoven never had children either.

  6. One of the most amazing things about Beethoven is he was deaf and never heard what his work of art sounded like. • "...
