  2. Introduction An Indian multinational public sector financial institution, the State Bank of India is one of the oldest banks on the Indian subcontinent. With about 277,000 employees, 500 million customers, 22,500 branches, and 58,000 ATMs, it is one of the largest financial institutions in the world.

  3. What is an IFSC CODE? An IFSC or Indian Financial System Code is an alphanumeric code consisting of 11 digits, categorized into 3 parts where – - The first part is made of four digits representing the bank name - The second part (fifth character) is a zero - The third part is made of six digits that signify the branch code of each bank

  6. RTGS at State Bank of India - There is no inter-bank or clearing house settlement involved in this process - There also exist no limits on the transactions done via the branch in this process
