Devices overview • Chillout provides a set of devices that are easy to configure and run. • This helps promoting adoption of Chillout and the DMP specification by enabling those users • not experienced in the DRM field • not enough skilled in programming • working for small companies to experiment with a technology that so far could only be used by those experts in the field. • The Applications category contains source and executable Java code built on top of the Core classes, and integrated with Auxiliary classes.

Chillout CCD • The CCD at startup generate a self-signed certificate for the username, password and other information specified when the application is launched for the first time . • The CCD can create Content items containing un-Governed, Governed and Protected Resources. • When selecting to Protect a Resource, you are required to specify which DRM Tools will be employed and the Resource symmetric key.

Chillout CPD • The CPD is the Device responsible for making Content available for distribution to other Devices. • The CPD is a web application based on the JAVA technology using WebWork2, Axis2,Spring, and Hibernate frameworks mainly for the purpose of distributing/publishing Content Items .
