Organizational Structure (J02) • Purpose • Sets up a generic organizational structure covering Financial Accounting/Controlling (FI/CO) and Sales and Distribution/Materials Management (SD/MM) within the SAP Best Practices Baseline Package • Allows you to make modifications to this generic organizational structure and add further organizational units • Provides frameworks that can be complemented with other building blocks FI CoreJ03 SD CoreJ04 MM CoreJ05 Org.   7. Organizational Structure (J02) • J02 provides a framework for each of these organizational units, each framework composed of a number of fields. J02 also assigns values to certain mandatory key fields. • A country-specific building block, such as Financial Accounting (J03), can then perform Customizing by adding values to the remaining fields. • For a company code, for example, J02 provides values such as country, chart of accounts, fiscal year variant, and currency.

Organizational Structure (J02) • Content • Installation role /SMB16/J02_01I, /SMB16/J02_01I_A (Australia), /SMB16/J02_01I_M (Malaysia), /SMB16/J02_01I_S (Singapore) • Business Configuration sets (BC Sets) activated by eCATT for creation, assignment, additional logistics, and intercompany settings • CATTs for address creation • Installation guide for automated installation (the preferred method!) • Configuration guide for manual installation • Pre-configured organizational structure • Master document that lists each component belonging to the building block

Organizational Structure (J02) • Implementation • Upload and assign installation role • Create organizational structures • Assign organizational structures • Configure organizational structures for more logistics • Configure organizational structures for intercompany procedures if desired • Maintain addresses using CATTs (note that BC Sets are unsuitable for the creation of addresses due to number range conflicts)
