  2. GENLEA isalignedwith: • OAS Hemispheric Plan of Action on Drugs (2016-2020) • Outcome Document of the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on the World Drug Problem (UNGASS 2016)

  3. Components of the program: • Data gathering of gender equality measures implemented by counterdrug law enforcement agencies in OAS member states • 352 questionnaires were answered • 44counterdrug law enforcement agencies from 22 countries provided inputs • Seven (7) national workshops and a regional conference to discuss and promote the effective implementation of gender mainstreaming policies in participating agencies • Best practices guideto foster gender mainstreaming in national counterdrug law enforcement agencies in the region

  4. The first phase of the GENLEA program is expected to conclude in November 2019 More on the program will be presented during the sixty-fourth regular session of CICAD, to be held in Washington, D.C., November 19-21, 2018
