  3. Rivers A • A river is running all the time. • Rivers usually begin uphill or on mountains. They then combine with small streams and form larger rivers that eventually lead out to sea. • They are called tributaries. • Rainwater and melting snow.

  7. Effects of weathering and erosion on rivers • River erosion occurs on the outside the outside of the bank where the river flows faster. • After rivers erode rocks and soil, they deposit the rocks and soil downstream.
