  1. INSTALLATION THEATRICAL ENGINEERING CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF INNOVATION STAGE ENGINEERING . DRAPES . AUDIO VISUAL . LIGHTING COMPANY PROFILE INSTALLATION THEATRICAL ENGINEERING

  2. THE COMPANY Installation Theatrical Engineering Pty Ltd (ITE) commenced operation in 1976. As a privately owned and operated company, ITE has been able to quickly adapt to meet the changing needs of its clients for over 40 years. In 1984, ITE built a manufacturing facility in South Melbourne, and as a result of continued growth a new building was constructed in Port Melbourne in 2005, where we remain today. This central location enables us to respond promptly to client requests. By conservative planning, innovative ideas and a “can do” attitude, ITE has become and remains the most successful stage machinery company in Australia. Equipment made and installed by ITE can be found in thousands of locations and in every corner and major city of Australia. THE PROCESS Every project is unique. Whilst our goal is your complete satisfaction, each projects journey is different. Whether it be consultant designed or a unique bespoke solution, the ITE process begins with a review of the drawings and specification, gaining a solid understanding for the needs of the client, the budget, any physical limitations and the performance requirements. Whilst it may be our 100th orchestra pit lift or sound system, we understand that it is probably your first. We take the time to help you understand the steps involved in achieving a great result. ITE also possess the ability to provide structural and mechanical assessments and certification. Castings are presented largely as a turnkey solution thereby avoiding any costly extras at the end of the project. ITE are one of very few companies in this industry that can offer a complete package of stage machinery, drapes, control, audio, video and lighting. ITE’s engineers and project managers coordinate all elements of your system into one tailored solution. Shop drawings are produced in-house by our engineers and are made available for approval prior to manufacture. As there can often be several months or even a year from initial quoting through to installation, ITE will keep you informed of any advancements or improvements in the technology being installed into your project. ITE has a purpose-built manufacturing facility in Port Melbourne. This enables us to manufacture to suit your needs, using predominantly Australian sourced materials. Some of our metal fabricators have been with us for over 30 years.

  3. THE PEOPLE Installation Theatrical Engineering prides itself on the quality of its staff, their skillset and length of service. Collectively, ITE possesses over 200 years of theatre experience; some of our team has been with us since the first years of operation. The team includes estimators, designers, engineers, A Grade electricians, boiler makers, fitter and turners, welders and sewing machinists. Empowering each team member with a solution focused approach to all aspects of the job enables them to take great joy in seeing a successful completion to our projects. Many of the team has worked in the live event industry as mechanists, technicians and operators. This brings an appreciation of the functionality required and the impact that performance conditions have on infrastructure and in turn a passion for ensuring that our work exceeds your expectations.
