Mission Statement The INCTR is dedicated to helping build capacity for cancer treatment and research in countries in which such capacity is presently limited ……and to increase the quantity and quality of cancer research throughout the world. The Goals • Prevent preventable cancers: • Focus presently on cervical cancer screening • Plan – include breast and oral cancer and provide education re: tobacco and poor habits • Cure curable cancers • Ensure presentation at earliest time • Focus on pediatric cancers, especially leukemias and lymphomas, retinoblastoma, Cx and breast cancer • Provide terminal care for those with no curative option Annual Meeting 2004

The Strategy • Help build human capital through: • Promoting collaborative projects in prevention, and treatment which both help prevent and cure cancer, and provide education and training • Providing a variety of professional educational opportunities • Promoting relevant national and international research • Link research with delivery of care Annual Meeting 2004
