Key Improvement Strategies:School-Wide Organization • Professional Learning Communities Training- • Teachers re-located by content area for more efficient communication • Meeting focus on better and more frequent assessments • Positive Behavior Intervention and Support • Accel Period- • SRA for struggling readers • 21st Century skill enrichment for readers at grade level

Key Improvement Strategies:Curriculum/Instruction/Assessment • SIOP implementation and training • SRA for all readers below grade level • 21st Century skills classes for all readers at and above grade level • 4-6 student computers in all core classrooms • One self-contained setting per grade level for exceptional students that need it

Key Improvement Strategies:Support/Intervention/Community Intervention Specialists based on predicted scores in math and reading Reading Coach for extremely low readers Multiple Parent Nights/Separate Hispanic Parent Meetings with Translators Parent/Community reps on SIT and PBS Partnering with Cornerstone and Purpose of God Programs

  14. Expected Results: • PSJ will be designated a School of Progress or higher • All grade levels will make Expected Growth or higher • PSJ will make AYP

  15. Expected Results • 6th grade will improve their reading proficiency average 10% to get to the state average • 7th grade will improve their reading proficiency average 10% to get to the state average • 8th grade will improve their reading proficiency average 15% to get to the state average

Expected Results Each grade level will be 80% proficient in Math Percentage of students making growth in math and reading at all grade levels will increase by 10% 8th grade science will be improve the proficiency average 10% to move from 58% to 68% PSJ will be awarded an “Exemplar School” designation for our PBIS behavior system
