  1. No More Splash !! By- Agam Agarwal (CS12B1003) Sachin Jaiswal (CS12B1033) SaurabhBhati (EE12B1044)

  2. Introduction to the Project A large amount of the valuable resource “Water” is wasted due to overflow in house tanks. The prime reason for this is that people forget to switch off the motor pumps. Our device does this work for them.

  3. The Basic Plan Water level alarm circuit B M A

  4. Circuit

  5. Prototype

  6. What does it do? • When the switch is closed, the motor starts to work and fill in water in the tank. • As soon as the tank is completely filled up the motor turns off and a buzzer starts to ring. • If some water is taken out of the tank, the buzzer switches off again and the motor starts working. • The motor can be manually switched off by opening the switch.

  7. How does it work? • When the tank is completely filled up the two probes A and B get connected to each other through water. • This triggers the IC and makes it generate square waves from pin 3. • The base of the NPN transistor connected through pin 3 gets high voltage and current passes through the transistor and thus through the coil of the relay.

  8. How does it work? • This switches on the relay thus connecting the common pin of the relay to the NO pin. • The motor is connected to NC pin so it turns off and the buzzer is connected to NO pin so it starts to ring. • On opening the switch, the power supply to the circuit stops and the motor and the buzzer, both turn off.

  9. Where can it be implemented? • All kind of water tanks • Household water tanks • Water tanks at schools • Even at the water tank at the hostels which overflow and waste a lot of water when the guards forget to turn off the motor • The buzzer part can be used in dams and river banks as a warning signal
