  1. Warmup • P.254 #55-57

  2. 5.2 Bisectors in Triangles

  3. Learning Target • I can use properties of perpendicular bisectors and angle bisectors to solve problems

  4. Perpendicular Bisector Theorem: If a point is on the perpendicular bisector of a segment, then it is equidistant from the endpoints of the segment. The converse is also true. • EX

  5. You can also use rules of congruent triangles to figure this out

  6. Lets try 1-5

  7. Now lets put variables in the mix. Try 6-10

  8. Angle Bisector Theorem: If a point is on the bisector of an angle, then the point is equidistant from the sides of the angle • EX

  9. Lets try 11-14

  10. Now, lets combine some rules and try 15-19

  11. RECAP: • Can you use the Perpendicular Bisector Theorem, the Angle Bisector Theorem along with rules about congruent triangles to find missing values in given geometric shapes?

  12. Homework: p.251 #1-25 (skip 5, 11, 16, 17)
