  1. Gods Goals for St Albans Acts chapter 2 verses 42-47 VISION STATEMENT What we want to become as a church. It focuses on our future state and describes what St Albans wants to look like in 5 years time. It articulates our dreams and hopes for our church, reminding us of what we are trying to build. Vision is for the benefit of our church members. MISSION STATEMENT Why we exist as a church/Whats our purpose. This focuses on our present state and is for the benefit of our members and the wider community.

  2. VALUES How we do things here as a church. The principles that guide our behaviour. GOALS & STRATEGIES What we want to do to achieve our vision.

  3. A Vision Statement is to express what we think is • the most important accomplishment of our organisation; • and then to state how this can be accomplished. • to model and express the way of Jesus • to make Jesus Christ known • to know Christ and make him known • to evangelise the world • to model and express the Kingdom of God • to live under Gods leadership • to live as Gods alternative community • to continue the mission of Jesus • to make disciple-making disciples • to see people transformed by Jesus

  4. St Albans Vision is to see people transformed by Jesus Christ by being a Spirit-led community who enjoy Jesus, are equipped to share his word and love, and who model the health, healing and hope that Jesus brings.

  5. 42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. 43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. 46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity - 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. (NLT)
