    4. Endeavour Postgraduate Awards – Incoming Only Masters or PhD by coursework or research Any field of research Maximum of three and half years (PhD) Monthly stipend Travel and establishment allowances Travel and health insurance Tuition fees Dedicated case manager and support network

Endeavour Europe Awards – Incoming Only 12 month contribution towards Masters or PhD in Australia Any field of research Monthly stipend Travel and establishment allowances Travel and health insurance Dedicated case manager and support network Citizens of the Russian Federation now able to apply.

The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Awards – Postgraduate Awards - Outgoing 20 Awards annually Australian postgraduate (Masters/PhD) students funded to study or conduct research in Asia for up to one year Strongly encouraged to undertake an internship in Asia for up to one year Valued at up to $63,500 each

The Prime Minister’s Postgraduate Awards – Selection & Eligibility Criteria Selection Criteria High level academic achievement Well defined study or research program Proposal that is relevant to the needs and interests of Australia Potential to foster ongoing collaboration and cooperation between Australia and Asia Potential to participate at a high level in the academic or wider community Unique achievement or outstanding service in any area

    13. The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Awards – Postgraduate Award Holder Gina Samaan is currently undertaking a PhD in Epidemiology at the ANU. Gina will travel to Indonesia as a visiting scholar at the Ministry of Health’s Field Epidemiology Training Program. Her research will focus on the avian influenza (H5N1) virus. Gina will undertake her internship as part of the Field Epidemiology Training Program technical secretariat where she will organise the 2010 FETP conference, among other activities.

    14. The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Awards – Undergraduate Awards - Outgoing 20 Awards annually Australian undergraduate students funded to study in Asia for up to one year Compulsory internship of up to one year Valued at up to $41,500 each

The Prime Minister’s Undergraduate Awards – Selection & Eligibility Criteria Selection Criteria High level academic achievement Well defined study or research program Proposal that is relevant to the needs and interests of Australia Proposal that will contribute to the achievement of personal goals, to academic success and to planned career pathways or goals. Potential to foster ongoing collaboration and cooperation between Australia and Asia Evidence of leadership and participation in other areas

    16. The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Awards – Undergraduate Award Holder Shaun Star is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws at Macquarie University. Visiting student at the National Law School of India, where he will focus on international commercial arbitration. Shaun intends to undertake his internship with the Indian Council of Arbitration.

The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Awards – Postgraduate Awards - Incoming 20 Awards annually Top twenty incoming PhD recipients of the Endeavour Postgraduate Awards from the approved destinations Encouraged to undertake a work placement/internship in Australia at the end of their PhD. Valued at $10,000 per year in addition to the Endeavour Postgraduate Award funding ($237,400)

The Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Awards – Application Process Application Process for Outgoing Awards Paper based applications Required documentation: - Application form - Proof of academic achievement - Referee Reports (2 required – at least one academic) - Evidence of contact with the host university Australian Universities identify and nominate up to five candidates for each of the Awards (UG and PG) Nominations due to DEEWR by 23 July 2010
