Highlights include: Crew safety * System handling * Fire and Power line safety * Weather * Pilot training * Mapping* GPS* and Career Exploration Campers also explore math, science, and technology careers throughout the week in a number of hands-on settings. This is the ultimate experience for those 13 to 18 who want to learn more about hot air balloons, crew for hot air balloons or hold a student or private pilot certificate. Attire for the week will be ballooning friendly! Swim suits and fun are required. Space is limited so reserve yours today! The Texas Hot Air Camp runs July 13-17 2008 on the Tyler Junior College campus, located 80 miles east of Dallas TX. Vaughn Hall Dorm will be a chaperoned home base for campers with check-in Sunday from noon to 2. Activities are planned for all skill levels and interests.
