  2. Page 1 Emily Elizabeth looked up from her desk. She heard a rumble. She felt the room shake. Emily Elizabeth knew what that meant. “Here comes Clifford,” she yelled. “It’s time to go home.”

  3. Page 2 “Don’t forget. Monday is show-and-tell,” Miss Carrington said. Emily Elizabeth wanted to bring something no one else had. She knew Charley was going to bring something cool from Jamaica.

  4. Page 3 Emily Elizabeth and Clifford went to the beach to look for something special. She found a boat anchor, but remembered Jetta brought that last year so she didn’t want to take that. They also found a nest on a cliff on their way home, but Clifford sneezed it away. Emily Elizabeth couldn’t find anything cool at the beach so her and Clifford decided to go to her mom’s shop and found nothing.

  5. Page 4 Then Emily Elizabeth was thinking. She has been on this adventure all day with Clifford. “I just wasn’t thinking hard enough, I have been with my show-and-tell object all day. I am going to take Clifford to the show-and-tell.”

  6. Page 5 On Monday, Emily Elizabeth showed up for show-and-tell. She was not alone. “Hooray! It’s Clifford!” everyone cheered. But Jetta did not. “I knew you would bring that big old red dog,” she said. Emily Elizabeth grinned. “Of course,” she said. “Clifford is really special!”
