  15. Quick Search What is a Quick Search? • searches for documents that have the same search term(s) in both text and subject fields • search results are displayed in order documents appear in the database

  16. How to Quick Search1. click on “Coverage Research”2. click on “Quick Search”3. type in term(s), then hit “Search”

Subject, Text, & State Search What is a Subject, Text, & State Search? • Allows user to fine tune results to fact specific coverage needs • Common policy language is generally put in Subject filed while factual term(s) are often put in Text field • Terms need not be typed in all 3 fields • Leave State field blank to pull up useful info in Annotations

  18. How to Subject, Text, State Search1. click on “Coverage Research”2. click on “Subject, State & Text”3. type in term(s) in 1 -3 fields, then hit “Search”

  19. Viewing Search Results - click “Prev Match” to see prior term in doc - click “Next Match” to see next term in doc

  20. There Are 2 Options to View Search Results:1. Split-Screen-shows portion of document & list of search results(see previous slide)2. Full-Screen -shows 1document only, w/o list of search results(depicted here)

  21. Pasting Search Material Into Another Document 1. left click & drag mouse over desired portion of document to highlight it 2. click “Edit” and then click “Copy” in drop down box 3. “Paste” in desired word processing document
