One recent event related to our course theme • 行政院內閣進行改組，首度有來自資訊科技產業的人 (張善政)，擔任主管國家科技產業政策規畫與資源分配的行政院科技政務委員一職 • 張善政接受專訪時表示，他最熟悉的就是資通訊產業（ICT），怎麼改善ICT產業的體質，讓其他各個產業都可以善用資訊科技，進一步做到產業升級，則是他未來希望優先努力的方向

A government’s move related to IT that will soon affect our life (聯合報 2012/2/23) • 食品履歷雲端化 • 經濟部昨天宣布，「安心食品履歷」最快七月底ＰＯ上雲端，消費者可以手機掃瞄賣場條碼、或上網輸入食品名稱，就可以查出食品源頭、生產地、製造過程，統統一覽無遺。 • 經濟部技術處說，以香腸為例，未來消費者不僅可查到豬肉生產地，更可追溯到豬農、宰殺時間等資訊，也包括原物料檢驗報告。 • 此外，去年塑化劑稽查下架太慢，以及塑毒食品「清不乾淨」被民眾罵翻天，這套「食品履歷」系統實施後，管制物品或問題廠商都將「無所遁形」，食品業者進口原物料前，可先上線檢索資料庫，做到事前防堵。

Course Outline & Objectives (cont) • In this course, you will learn cutting-edge information technologies, including cloud computing, big data, information security, social computingetc. • You will also learn to appreciate the role information technology plays in facilitating value creation.

Course Outline & Objectives (cont) • This course covers both mature information technologies and emerging IT trends. It focuses on the use of information systems as well as the management of this use for the purpose of • building innovative organizations • obtaining organizational efficiencies, and • developing competitive advantage in organizations.
