  10. Skip 5pages.

  11. Add Page Numbers • On the 6thpage after the Table of Contents, start numbering the pages. • Write page number in the lower outside corner of each page. • Number as far as page 20 today. • Keep up the numbering on your own when you have passed page 20.

  12. Make a Glossary • Start on the last page of your Science Notebook and count backwards 8 pages. • On top of the 8th page from the back write “Glossary.”

  13. Make a Glossary • The Glossary is where your definitions of important vocabulary words from the textbook will go. • They are the words in highlighted in the text in yellow. (You may add as many other definitions as you wish.)

  14. Add your bookmark • You each will receive a ribbon 13 inches long. • Tape in on the inside back cover of your notebook near the top.

  15. Your first Science Notebook entry Turn to Page #1

  16. Notebook DOs and DON’Ts • As Ms. Bryan will show you, use 4 small drops of glue to put the handout on page 1 of your notebook. • If you use a glue stick, line each edge with glue and put and “X” through the center. • DO NOT USE MORE GLUE than instructed to!!! • Quietly read the list of DOs and DON’Ts.

  17. Page 2 and 3 • Glue in “How to Preview a Section of Your Science Textbook” on page 5. • Glue in “How to Access your Online Science Textbook” on page 6.

  18. Now, turn to page #1 and we will go over notebook Dos and Don’ts together.
