Project no: 2010-1-RO1-LEO05-07377 SETTING-UP THE CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR INITIAL AND CONTINUOUS TRAINING ON PROFESSIONAL STRESS MANNAGEMENT AND DUTY WEAPONS USING TACTICS - based on transfer of innovation from partner countries - Project BIA BIA Project - Research activities on stress management and shooting tactics

Regarding BIA Project, WP3 ACTIVITIES - Research on stress management and shooting tactics, between25th of June and 24th of August 2012, the following activities were developed : • study visit in Hungary: 25-29.06.2012; • study visit in Germany: 02-06.07.2012; • 3 working group meetings at Cluj Police School between 9th and 13th of July, 23rd and 27th of July and 20th and 24th of August 2012.

  3. The aim of the study visits was for the participant to familiarize with the professional training systems of Hungarian and German policemen. There were presented relevant information regarding the project’s subject, being described selection criteria, means and instruments used by the partners regarding professional skills and personality variables on stress management and shooting tactics. Conclusions and proposals on transfer of innovation were put together.

  4. Following the first three meetings of the research group, organized in Cluj between 9th and 13th of July, 23rd and 27th of July and 20th and 24th of August, a questionnaire on stress management and shooting tactics was developed, with 68 items. This instrument was distributed to 42 police county inspectorates and to the Bucharest General Police Department. Up until now, 414 questionnaires were fulfilled and returned to the school, for processing. Also, a qualitative analyses of using duty weapons cases registered in 2012 in the Romanian Police was realized.
