David Stoloff - stoloffd@easternct.edu Online International Forum for University Students “PechaKucha (Japanese: ペチャクチャ, IPA: [petɕaku͍̥tɕa],[1]chit-chat) is a presentation methodology in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (approx. 6' 40" in total), usually seen in a multiple-speaker event called a PechaKucha Night (PKN).” ( from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pecha_Kucha )

Goals of this session I David Stoloff - stoloffd@easternct.edu Online International Forum for University Students 1) The participants will join a network of educators interested in collaborating online to enrich courses in international and cross-cultural education. 2) The participants will share experiences in using collaborative websites like epals.com, Education Beyond Borders, LinkedIn, FaceBook to add diversity to their classes.

Encouraging electronic portfolios David Stoloff - stoloffd@easternct.edu Online International Forum for University Students Students make use of cameras or cell phones to gather photos of document new experiences. They develop wordpress.com websites and slide shows to illustrate their experiences. They add essays reflecting on these experiences to the website. Music (from youtube.com) is embedded on the website to provide appropriate background music for the reader.
