  1. College Culture at Bloom

  2. Eating Establishments • Commons - Typically students come to the commons with friends. For example the girls basketball team always eats dinner together. Generally students will not just pull up a chair to a group that they have not previously planned to eat with. • Husky: - students will just get their food and leave. Not many students stay and eat unless they are with friends. • College students have a fear of eating alone in public. If we have to, we generally busy ourselves with studying or doing homework so we don’t look like “loners”.

  3. Study Areas and Common Rooms • The Fountain No one sits by it, they pass by it without acknowledgement. It was specifically placed for students to enjoy. Students don’t appreciate the beauty of Bloomsburg’s campus. • Fireside Lounge Everyone works independently. Few study groups but for the most part, students seclude themselves from other students.

  4. College Culture • College students don’t like to be alone, unless they are studying. • They fear being judged by other students • Everyone worries about what everyone else thinks about them • College students are typically in a rush and don’t pay much attention to their surroundings. • Sometimes, college students are just worried about themselves. They are worried about getting to class or to the bus, etc. that they don’t really care about campus.
