  3. Short bibliography… • Home grown in Boerne (Elementary, Middle and High school) • Graduated from Texas State University • Received teaching certificate after college • Married in 2005 • Moved back to Boerne last May

  4. Why am I here? • I want all of you to do well in this class, and in life! • I’ve been there… • I love LEARNING…seeing you learn, and you teaching me!

  7. Expectations • I expect respect (towards me, each other and our classroom) • I expect you to make mistakes • I expect you to be safe • I expect you to be prepared • I expect you to work together • I expect you to NOT be on phones • I expect your best!

Please, everyday… • Leave your bags/purses at the front of the classroom • only need something to write with/binder (notes) • Begin class starter that is on the board as you enter the room • Take care of business between classes! • You will not be allowed to leave the classroom during class time • If you are late for ANY reason, you must have a note if you want it excused!!

Evaluations • Tests/Projects: 40% • Daily (homework, class work, activities, quizzes, warm-ups): 30% • Labs/Activities: 30% *Students must arrange to take a test, quiz or lab missed due to an absence. *HW is due the next class period unless stated otherwise. If for any reason (other than an absence) you do not have your assignment, you will need to complete a “failure to complete homework assignment” form. You must turn the assignment in before I return it to the other students.

  15. Today: 1. Text book registration • Fill out form for your text book • Place in crate on the table by my desk when finished

  16. Intro lab 1.1 • Each group will work together on the questions at hand • Read your directions and follow the procedure • If you do not finish, please complete answers for homework, due Tuesday
