What is Film Studies? • The study of one of the most popular art forms of the 20th and 21st century • You will: Look at films from an analytical perspective, outlining their points both textually and contextually • Study in an innovative and interactive way • Learn to think critically • Enhance your independent study skills

  5. A2 Film Studies FM 3: Coursework (Part A) Small Scale Research Project (Part B) A creative project based on an imaginary film sequence or short film. This will be completed as a film screenplay and also include a detailed reflective analysis. Examination topics FM 4 Section A World Cinema topics – Japanese Cinema 1950-1970 Section B Spectatorship topics - Documentary Section C Single Film - Critical Study ‘Morvern Callar’.
