  1. Megalodon: The Largest Predator That Ever Lived The Megalodon shark is considered the largest predator that has ever lived. To compare its size, if we were to compare it with the Great White shark, the Megalodon was nearly three times as long and 20 times heavy as the Great White shark. The very earliest megalodon fossils date back to 20 million years ago. For the next 13 million years, this breed of shark dominated the ocean colonies until becoming extinct just 3.6 million years ago. Experts reveal that Megalodon wasn’t only the giant shark globally but one of the largest fish that ever existed. This is why people and fossil enthusiasts are looking for Black Megalodon teeth online. The fascination of Megalodon’s tooth is based on the fact that it reaches the size of around 10 cm long. Therefore, these teeth perfectly illustrate what these massive animals ate and lived. Their Teeth Reveal A Story Experts reveal that with its large serrated teeth, Megalodon is known to eat meat, most likely whales and large fish. Their prey is also supposed to include dolphins and as large as humpback whales. Some found fossils showed cut marks of megalodon teeth etched in the surface. Others tend to include the tips of teeth broken off in a bone during a feeding frenzy that must have occurred a million years ago.

  2. While most of the Megalodon teeth fell into the size ratio of 4-5’’, some massive teeth have also been found that show a size of 7’’. However, experts believe that Megalodon is not closely related to the Great White shark despite all the resemblance and size. Megalodon: What Did It Look Like The majority of the fossil reconstruction shows that Megalodon looks like an enormous great white shark. “Many reconstructions have Megalodon looked like a more incredible version of Great White shark, but now researches have explained that Megalodon is actually from a different lineage of sharks of which Megalodon was the last member. Had The Most Powerful Bite The Megalodon is said to have had the most powerful bite of any animal. Various computer models have predicted that Megalodon’s bite force falls between 24,000 and 40,000 pounds. This power was 6-10 times larger than the Great White shark and modern crocodiles combined. The vast majority of the collected Megalodon teeth show significant feeding wear to the tip, and these tips seemed to be wholly sheared off due to massive hitting bone or other teeth during feeding. Conclusion Because of its size, Megalodon was an apex predator in the ocean. With a mouth of nearly 10 feet, Megalodon is considered to have the highest biting force in the world, and that is what the fascination with its teeth is all about.
